I guess you can't keep a good man boy down. The Master is bouncing back as much as possible from his Unfortunate Incident over the weekend. A meeting with an Orthopedic doctor revealed that the injury is more ligament-related than bone. He will wear a temporary air cast for the next few weeks while the ligament starts to heal, then we'll return for reassessment. He is in good spirits and is hopping vigorously about the house with a cool, camouflage-colored cane.
Here is the Master during his cello lesson. You can see the air cast on his leg.
Hope is ligaments realign and all is happy. Love the cello. I wanted to try out for cello in 6th grade, but they said I was too short. They gave me the trumpet instead. At least I got to empty a spit valve. That was kind of cool, for a tomboy.
Too late, I already emailed him. Trumpet is actually much easier on the ears. Says the mother who applauded when her daughter quit violin. Shame on me!

Camouflage coloured cane?? Must have one! Glad the recovery is happening... love the cello.
Ah yes, forgot to mention - cane also makes good weapon. Shoots imaginary bad guys. Very handy. Everyone should own one.
Thank you for your well wishes. :)

Alisa, trumpets are definitely easier to lug around! Don't tell the Master about the spit - he'd change instruments in a heartbeat!
