On June 13th & 14th at the age of 38 I will be dancing in my first dance recital. Which to others may be no big deal, but for someone who's shy yikes! Having 300 people staring at me is one of my biggest nightmares, so hopefully I don't pass out or have a heart attack!!! Bet your sorry you asked huh? :)
I'm with Paul. You take beautiful photographs. I made chicken spaghetti for the first time a few weeks ago. And I saw live Improv for the first time last month.
I can't even remember the last time I did something for the first time. But I did just go to Worlds of fun with my daughter and granddaughter's fifth grade class. I was so scared I would not be able to ride the roller coasters anymore. (Hitting the big 50 this year) It has been 9 years since I rode one and I really wondered if age would affect that. Well I'm glad to say it didn't. I had a blast!! ;) Now I'm off to see what I can do for the first time....
Mr. Nichols, how nice that you stopped by! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.
Young Wife, thank you for your kind complement. I have never made chicken spaghetti but it sounds wonderful. And how fun to go to Improv! Good for you.
Gina, I am so impressed that you got on a roller coaster! I think they are pretty terrifying personally. :) You sound like a very cool grandma!
I milked a goat for the first time last weekend! My daughter just started milking our doe a couple months ago and she is already a pro!! She had a late night activity last weekend and I realized that I would have to do the evening milking. I was terrified. But the doe was a real professional, me not so much, but we both survived and I was quite proud of myself, grin.
Today I popped popcorn using olive oil, because I was out of canola. I wondered if it would taste strange, and I wondered where I had seen the question about doing something for the first time... and voila! Here at your blog, I can honestly say the popcorn made in olive oil was quite tasty!
And it's all over! The happiness is crazy and the thankfulness is huge.
Went down with Husband, picking up Daughter on the way.
Beautiful, beautiful morning....
Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you had a nice one. Tonight, instead of
romance, Alexi and I divided and conquered homework and hockey practice
duties, thoug...
People keep asking me if I still blog. Obviously, they are people who
don’t actually read my blog, because then they would know that I took a big
break ...

A few months ago, I started riding horses with my girl on troop nights. Yikes! Never thought at 37 I'd be learning to ride, but I LOVE it!
Good luck to Trish on her recital! That is so exciting!
How exciting Trish! Good for you. Let us know how it goes!
Alisa - I'm proud of you. I think it's great that you found something that you and the Girl can do together. :) You are building memories!
Well, right now. I came here for the first time. Saw your great photos on Coal Creek Farm. Great stuff.

I just went to my first bilingual Krav class in Montreal. That was quite an experience, being as my French is very sketchy. :)
Jo, that's very cool! I imagine certain things don't need translation. :)
How was the class compared to yours at home? Harder? Easier?
