I had a happy surprise in my inbox today. The official government website of Kansas has chosen one of my photos to publish in their calendar for 2010.
This was taken last December in our front yard after a beautiful frost. I remember running around desperately trying to capture some of the glittering glory before it melted in the sun, and trying to keep the dog out of the picture! :)
Now I need to think of a good name for it. Any ideas? They will publish the title of the photo, where it was taken and who took it in little bitty print.

Congratulations! How fun!
Titles..."Winter Wheat"? (I know it's not wheat, but...) "Dazzling Morning" "Frosty Frolic" Bah, I'm horrid at titles.
Congrats from me, too! Nice honor.
How 'bout Morning Glaze. December's Frosting. December's Icing? (Can you tell I'm hungry?)
I like your title... Frosted Grass!!
Thanks everyone.
I appreciate your feedback!
Congratulations-you SO deserve this friend!! Now I will need the info about where I can purchase the calendar so that you can autograph it for me...:)
Congratulations! How about, "Yes, I took this picture and now it is being published. I am awesome and you should come read my blog."?
Too long maybe?
Ha ha, Alisa, you crack me up!
Lauri, the calendars are to be used as gifts to government offices, etc. and won't be sold, but I might be able to get my hands on a few. If I do, you'll be first in line. :)
That's awesome!
