My Favorite Sister had an authentic taste of Peruvian culture today, when she experienced her first earthquake. Measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale, the earthquake caused more alarm than damage. No casualties were reported. Rene said she was sitting in class and the doors started rattling and all of the students got up abruptly and left the room. She was left not knowing what was going on. Being from the Midwest, it didn't occur to her that that it was an earthquake!
