Men of Reason

Personally, I am a morning person. I love to get up before the rest of the household and have some uninterrupted time to myself. Right now I am sipping coffee and listening to the crickets, not the birds, chirp.

My husband, on the other hand, is not a morning person. I thought I'd honor him with a few choice quotes:
I'd like mornings better if they started later. ~Author Unknown

I have a "carpe diem" mug and, truthfully, at six in the morning the words do not make me want to seize the day. They make me want to slap a dead poet. ~Joanne Sherman

Dawn: When men of reason go to bed. ~Ambrose Bierce

Early morning cheerfulness can be extremely obnoxious. ~William Feather

The best thing about morning is that it's over by noon.

Morning amnesia: nature's way to keep you from waking up screaming.

How about you? Are you a morning person? Or do these quotes ring true for you too? :)

I am soooo not a morning person. Which comes in handy when a new baby is in the house. Not so handy when said baby is nearly 3 and likes to rise with the crack of dawn.

Hubby is neither. His preference is to go to sleep by 9 and get up after 7. I can't sleep that much. 6.5 hours is plenty for me.

A laughed out loud at the "slap a dead poet", hilarious! I've never thought of myself as a morning person, I like late nights too much. But lately I've been getting up very early and LOVING it. I don't like the getting up part, in fact I loath it, but once I'm up I like it.

Oh, my friend, I am laughing right now! Love the slapping a dead poet quote - 'bout sums it up for me!

It's 10:12a MST, and I just woke up for the second time...

I am DEFINITELY a morning person. Mentally, physically, in every sense. 'Course, the downside is that by 4 PM, I'm pretty much done for the day. Oh, I'm awake and doing until 10 o'clock but I'm not worth very much during that time.

The other morning I woke for a potty stop at 3 AM, couldn't fall back asleep so got up and quilted until my husband woke around 6:30, then went on about my day. Was one of the most productive days I've had in ages.

Your quotes were great, and I know some people near and dear who would agree with them wholeheartedly!

I am a night owl. Hubby is a complete morning person. I hate him on school days...
