Here's a little math problem for you:
If a Mom volunteers to bring 2 dozen cupcakes to her Munchkin's class, then eats 1/2 dozen while waiting for the 2nd batch to bake, how many total batches will she have to bake? Keep in mind that each batch = 12 cupcakes and the Mom has only one cupcake pan.
Extra credit: if one batch takes 20 minutes to bake, what is the average time it took for the Mom to

The only answer is, she will have to stop by the store and buy cupcakes on the way to her son's school.
You have to make 3 batches total........but that leaves you another 6 to eat!!!
You ate those first 6 approximately 3 minutes apart......pretty good.
Wow, around here moms can't even bake cupcakes to take in. They have to be store bought. Maybe that's why all of us CA moms are so skinny?

Yes, I made 3 batches and yes, there were 6 extra (yea!) but I, um, I mean the *Mom* didn't wait 3 minutes between each cupcake. It's amazing how many one can cram in quickly if they put their mind to it! ;P
Ha! We're in the middle of an ice storm and I'm the only person at work. I have nothing better to do than sit and stew about it..........and catch up on blogs and apparently do math or whatever else occupies my mind!
And I didn't figure you stared at each cupcake for 3 minutes.......tried to give you the benefit of the doubt! Last time I made cupcakes for school, I realized I had no easy way to get them all there. Therefore, I had to eat them all and buy some cheap ones from the store.
And last time I was at WalMart, I bought one of those cool cupcake toters. There goes my excuse.
