And it's all over! The happiness is crazy and the thankfulness is huge.
Went down with Husband, picking up Daughter on the way.
Beautiful, beautiful morning....

Snowbound
The recent snowfall has rendered us snowbound for the past few days. Luckily I have plenty of food in my pantry from a holiday party that was canceled. Even though our guests couldn't reach us, the groceries we bought to feed them may have very well saved our lives. We've been surviving on such festive foods such as The Stuff of Life and Christmas-colored M&Ms and hot wassail. It could be worse. Much, much worse. :)
Ironically, today was the day I decided to start recording my food intake, to help me loose some weight. So far my food diary reads:
Breakfast:
1 c. of coffee with fat free 1/2 and 1/2
m&ms, dark chocolate, of course
Snack:
a lonely piece of leftover fudge
a cup of hot buttered rum
a slice of homemade bread, with butter (yeah baby!)
Lunch:
chips and bean dip
more coffee
more bean dip
Hey, we're just trying to survive over here. A woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do!
Wait, I just received word that the road to town has been cleared. Drat. Er, I mean, woo hoo!
Now pass the bean dip please.

I love your honesty.
I was also going to start eating strictly healthy (and less!) today. So far I've had: A latte with skim milk, a bowl of Cheerios with whole milk and a sliced banana, a glass of elderberry juice, a lonely, little piece of fudge (there must be a lot of them around), and somewhere around 15-20 frosted almond cookies. How'm I doin'?
Ahh butter, I have NO butter in our two days of snow bound...I need to go grocery shopping!
Mama Pea, I like your diet. It's very well-rounded. :)
Enid - I always keep a backup in the freezer for emergencies. :)
Let's hear it for bean dip!
Mmmmm... your food diary has made me very hungry for some been dip... maybe I could make a batch of Texas Caviar... have you ever had that? I have convinced myself that it healthy, but I have been know to lie to myself :)
That's the biggest problem living in Southern California. We don't get snowed in and rarely have weather bad enough to not go to the gym.
Could you send some of that snow our way? I have a pile of left over cookies that need to disappear quickly.
At least you were eating all the basic food groups.
I just can't part with butter, sugar & chocolate, they are essential for my existence right now! As I weep and moan, putting Christmas away...hee, hee. Clearly, I just need to add beans for a well-balanced diet til Jan. 1 or March? I see a post Christmas diet book in your future Mrs. Mama! :D
